7 NFL FanDuel Bargains for Week 1

The Detroit Lions matchup against the Indianapolis Colts game is not one you can afford to ignore this week. It has an over/under of 51.5, the highest of the week, and with only a 3.5-point spread, there should be plenty of scoring on both sides. Both teams finished in the bottom-12 last year in schedule-adjusted Defensive Passing NEP per drop back, and this one has all the makings of a shootout.

Our own JJ Zachariason has been talking up Marvin Jones in fantasy football all offseason and with good reason. Jones has been a very efficient receiver (finishing above league-average in Reception NEP per target in each of his last two seasons), and there are reports that he may be emerging as the Lions' top wideout.

He is hugely under-priced for a clash with a Colts' defense that finished 20th against the pass last year, per our metrics, and will be missing Vontae Davis, their top cornerback. With a price tag closer to the receiver minimum on FanDuel ($4,500) than it is to his teammate Golden Tate ($6,900), Jones is one of the best receiver plays of the week.
