Round 8: Rob Kelley, Washington

Average Draft Position: 8.11 (RB39)

This spot is really just a placeholder for whoever enters the season as Washington's lead back, and both players are going in this vicinity right now.

Early reports had Samaje Perine as the guy, but Rob Kelley has been gaining steam of late. Kelley's status was strengthened in the first preseason game as he ran exclusively with the starters. That had a pretty big impact on where these two Washington backs are being taken.

Fantasy Football ADP for Rob Kelley, Samaje Perine

There's certainly enough time left in camp and the preseason for this to change, but as of now, based on what we saw in Week 1 of the preseason, it sure looks like Kelley is the guy to own.

This is one of the top camp battles to watch from a fantasy perspective, and we need to see how the rest of the preseason plays out to make an informed decision on draft day. Whoever ends up as the lead runner in this backfield is a player we want as Washington has been a top-10 offense in each of the last two seasons, per our schedule-adjusted numbers.
