Downside: Offensive Philosophy Change

The Buffalo Bills have a new regime in town, and offensive coordinator Rick Dennison is implementing his west coast system there. His zone blocking scheme -- which is one that stems from the Mike Shanahan days in Denver, where we saw a bunch of out-of-nowhere players succeed, like Mike Anderson and Reuben Droughns -- should fit Shady just fine. That's not really the concern here.

The reason for some pessimism stems from the passing attack. A get-the-quarterback-in-rhythm offense may not be the best thing for Tyrod Taylor. He's thrived on the deep ball over his two years as starter (first in the league in percentage of touchdowns coming from balls that have traveled 15-plus yards through the air), and Dennison's offense keeps things closer to the line of scrimmage with shorter, quicker passes.

How will that all impact Shady? Hopefully it won't much at all, but the change is something to at least think about when it comes to downside.
