Greg Olsen's probably enjoying being the unquestioned number one receiver in Charlotte these days. With the added responsibility since Kelvin Benjamin went down with an ACL tear in the preseason, Olsen's stepped up his play, posting an efficient 0.78 Reception NEP per target, which would be a career high if it carried through the season.

Olsen's 27.8% total team target share leads the league among tight ends, with the next highest being Martellus Bennett (24.9%), whose targets were temporarily elevated due to Alshon Jeffery's four-game absence. Moreover, Olsen also leads the league among tight ends in terms of red zone team target share, receiving a gaudy 37.5% of total team targets within the 20-yard line.

The Panthers get to square up against the 28th ranked passing defense in the Colts this week and, per Football Outsiders, are the 23rd best team at defending the tight end position. Olsen's only faced two teams ranked lower than 20th at defending tight ends this season in the Saints and Seahawks. His results? Just 15 catches for 265 yards and 3 scores. Yeah, give me some of that.

With the Panthers projected to score 26 points against the Colts, and with Olsen holding such an outsized role in this offense, Olsen is the second-highest projected scoring tight end this weekend.
