Call of Duty Daily Fantasy Helper: Week 9 Minnesota, 6/12/20
FanDuel is now offering Call of Duty League DFS, and we have another set of matches for Saturday. If you are new to Call of Duty DFS, I put together a quick introduction piece to give you the basics. The rosters are similar to CS:GO DFS, and we'll take a look at a few different things to break down some players in good situations.
The Call of Duty League is back this week for the Minnesota Home Series. As usual, there are only eight teams in action this week and it should turn out to be some of the best action of the year. Of the eight teams in action, they consist of the top five in the league and the bottom-three teams.
Team | Implied Win Probability |
---|---|
Atlanta FaZe | 36.4% |
Chicago Huntsmen | 33.3% |
Dallas Empire | 25.0% |
Florida Mutineers | 11.1% |
Minnesota RØKKR | 5.9% |
Toronto Ultra | 3.2% |
Los Angeles Guerrillas | 2.4% |
Seattle Surge | 2.0% |
If we take a look at the teams and their implied win probabilities, it should be very clear there are three heavy favorites coming into this event. Oddly enough, those three teams are the top three in the standings, which should set us up for an awesome event.
MVP Considerations
Formal, Chicago Huntsmen ($9,900) and Chicago are coming off a tournament win a few weeks ago at the Seattle Home Series, vaulting themselves back into the conversation as the best team in the league. Since there are no DFS slates for the tournament finals with only one series, we have to look at his three prior series from that event. He posted 78 kills or more in two of the three series. In the one he didn't hit 78 kills or more, Formal was at 70 kills, but that was only three maps compared to four. Each of those series totaled 102 FanDuel points or more -- exactly the level of production you want in the MVP spot.
Shotzzy, Dallas Empire ($10,200) has been off for a few weeks, but the last time they were in action -- the Chicago Homes Series -- they won that event, putting up big fantasy points along the way. Dallas won their first two series 3-1, with the final series being 3-0. Naturally, we saw fewer kills in the last series -- only 64 over the three maps -- but he still managed 98.6 FanDuel points. In the other two series, he posted 86 kills for 115 FanDuel points and 110 kills for a staggering 173 FanDuel points. A player with that type of ceiling can do wonders for your lineup if he is in the MVP spot.
Players
Classic, Toronto Ultra ($9,000) comes in with a bit of a cheaper price tag this week and finds himself as the favorite in this matchup versus Los Angeles. Classic posted 81 kills or more in all three series he played but held a negative kill-to-death differential in one series. He has been known as a player who will have more deaths than kills, but he boosts his potential fantasy value by picking up objectives. He had five domination captures or more in each of those three series, along with 138 seconds of hardpoint capture time or more in two of the three series.
Priestahh, Atlanta FaZe ($9,000) and FaZe are one of the best teams in the league, one of the favorites at this event, and come in with an implied win probability at 95% for this matchup against Seattle. He comes in with 113 FanDuel points or more in three of his last four series, six domination captures or more in each of the four, and a positive kill-to-death differential three times. He's got consistency, fantasy points, and a great price tag this week.
C6, Dallas Empire ($7,300) is far too cheap and should be considered one of the best point-per-dollar options on this slate. The former multi-time World Champion might be a role player on Dallas now, but they are the third-best team in the league and the favorite in their series against Minnesota. He may lack a ceiling from pure kills but makes up for that with solid objective play in both domination and hardpoint.
Team
Stacking a team with their players brings correlation to your lineups, and that is the route you should be going. Atlanta FaZe ($5,800), Chicago Huntsmen ($5,700), and the Dallas Empire ($5,500) are the three best teams in the league and thus favorites in their respective matchups. Dallas is the cheapest among those three but have been out of action the longest. Chicago won the most recent event and look strong with their new roster. The sneaky option could be Toronto Ultra ($5,400) since they are taking on Los Angeles, who are the worst team in the league.
