Nick Castellanos fits in the Tommy Joseph mold of a player entering a different situation than what he had before. In Castellanos' case, he's moving up in the Detroit Tigers' batting order, and he may have gained a little speed in the offseason.

Castellanos is projected to bat second this year, according to Roster Resource, largely thanks to some tweaks he made this offseason. He worked to improve his speed and baserunning, which could also lead to increased steal opportunities. Castellanos has just one steal this spring, but that already equals his total from the past two years combined.

Even though Castellanos has been in the big leagues for a while now, this will be just his age-25 season. He posted career highs with a 35.7% hard-hit rate and 43.0% fly-ball rate last year with his breakout season being stopped only by a hand injury. Now, he'll be seeing more volume by batting second, and he should be able to score plenty of runs. His value is immense both for 2017 and the future.

Castellanos is never going to be an anchor for your batting average or on-base percentage given his plate-discipline stats, but he can absolutely contribute some power. Add in his potential to rack up runs scored and maybe a few steals this year, and this is a guy whose value should rise quickly.
