Mike Foltynewicz, Atlanta Braves

Starts: May 22nd vs. Pittsburgh Pirates, May 27th at San Francisco Giants

ESPN ownership: 13 percent

This season has been a decidedly mixed bag for Atlanta Braves youngster Mike Foltynewicz, with stretches of dominance (a 2.81 ERA and 8.1 K/9 across his first five starts) offset by some real rough patches (a 6.19 ERA and 5.1 K/9 over his most recent three).

Luckily for Folty, he has a golden opportunity to regain some confidence against two offenses that have proven to be streaming utopias this season.

One look at the team-hitting leaderboard for the past month finds the Pirates and Giants jockeying for position at the very bottom of most metrics. Pittsburgh is 26th in team ISO over the past month; not to be outdone, the Giants are dead last. The two teams are 29th and 30th, respectively, in team OPS. The Giants are last in team-wide hard-hit rate, while the Pirates are 23rd -- rather impressive, all things considered!

Granted, Folty is not without his warts. The 25-year-old has seen a notable drop in strikeouts along with a near doubling in his homer rate over the past two weeks, and there's clearly something up with his slider, which has cratered in terms of usage and effectiveness over that tumultuous recent span.

But if the Braves hurler had it all figured out, we wouldn't see him on so many waiver wires. With these matchups, Foltynewicz makes a strong case for being one of the most desirable two-start streamers of the week, regardless of league depth.
