Tyler Flowers is having a solid season, with a .394 wOBA and 36.2% hard-hit rate across 197 plate appearances. He often gets to bat between fourth and sixth in the lineup, which is a step up from most catchers.

However, he gets a tough righty-righty matchup against Luis Perdomo, who is limiting same-sided bats to a 70.6% ground-ball rate while striking them out 24.0% of the time this season.

On a day when we can get Russell Martin or Alex Avila at the same price in far better spots, passing on Flowers is the right move tonight.
