Carlos Gonzalez, OF, Colorado Rockies

Carlos Gonzalez has been one of the biggest disappointments in fantasy baseball in the 2017 season, but some recent batted-ball data suggests that he might be starting to turn things around.

In the last week, Gonzalez has an average exit velocity of 94.8 MPH against righties in 11 batted-ball events. In that same span, he has a 46.7% hard-hit rate, but he has yet to hit a home run.

Gonzalez will have every chance in the world to break out of his season-long slump this week, with matchups against Mike Leake, Lance Lynn, Carlos Martinez, and Edwin Jackson, all of whom struggle with lefty power. He won't get these matchups in Coors Field, so Gonzalez should be sub-5% owned all week, which could pay big dividends for risk-seeking tournament players.
