Jerad Eickhoff, Philadelphia Phillies

Start: August 30th vs. Atlanta Braves
ESPN ownership: 18 percent

After an underwhelming first half that saw Philadelphia Phillies righty Jerad Eickhoff struggle with fastball command while laboring to a 4.63 ERA, the second half has seen the 27-year-old rehabilitate his stock somewhat, even if the passable 3.86 ERA since the break is tainted somewhat by a 4.53 FIP and 10.7% walk rate.

In any event, Eickhoff remains just mediocre enough to find a home on the majority of waiver wires but just tempting enough to answer the call for streamers when the matchup is right, which seems to be the case this week with the scuffling Braves in town.

His fastball might be letting him down, but Eickhoff's curveball remains a near-elite pitch, limiting hitters to 35 weighted runs created plus (wRC+) on a .475 OPS across 656 offerings while coaxing a 36.4% reach rate. The Braves should flail away at that breaking ball, as Atlanta has struggled to produce off the curve all season while proving to be the least-disciplined offense in baseball since the break by some margin.
