Back to the A's matchup with Cole Hamels, Oakland's right-handed bats are particularly appealing tonight.

Since the start of the 2017 season, Hamels has faced nearly 600 right-handed hitters, allowing a .331 wOBA and 4.97 xFIP on a 39.0% hard-hit and 13.3% soft-hit rate in that sample.

Chad Pinder hasn't been overly impressive from the dish in his young Major League career, but he has posted serviceable numbers against left-handed hurlers, with a .346 wOBA and .189 ISO on a very strong 41.7% hard-hit rate. Our models also have him as a top-five point-per-dollar value among hitters.
