3 Under-the-Radar MLB FanDuel Plays for 5/23/18

Mookie Betts, OF, Boston Red Sox

The Boston Red Sox have a mediocre matchup against Chris Archer tonight, and with just a 3.88 implied team total this isn't a spot we're really looking to roster Boston bats.

But Mookie Betts is a different story. He continues to top the majors in wOBA (.498) and ISO (.404) by a hefty margin, and he took sole possession of the league lead in home runs (16) following his bomb last night.

While batter-versus-pitcher data must always been taken with a grain of salt, it doesn't hurt to see that Betts has had Archer's number his whole career. He is 12-for-34 with four home runs against Archer, all leading to a fantastic 1.241 OPS.

Whether it's his recent or historical production, we probably shouldn't doubt Betts in this spot, and he's likely to go lower-owned than normal tonight.
