Albert Pujols, 1B, Los Angeles Angels

It's abundantly obvious that 38-year-old Albert Pujols' best years are behind him, but he's still showing some pop in his bat this season.

His 38.7% hard-hit rate is on pace to be his highest mark since 2010, and he's pairing that with a 38.7% fly-ball rate. His .311 wOBA and .173 ISO against right-handed pitching are nothing to write home about, but making this type of contact gives him more home run upside than you'll usually get out of a guy producing at that clip.

He brings those strong contact numbers into a plus matchup tonight against Detroit righty Michael Fulmer, who is on pace for his third consecutive season with a SIERA north of 4.00. Fulmer is allowing career-highs in both hard-hit (36.1%) and fly-ball (31.7%) rates, as well as forcing a career-low soft-hit rate (15.1%) in 2018, and he provides Pujols' upside with a boost tonight.
