Byron Buxton, OF, Minnesota Twins

Price: $2,200

Byron Buxton has produced almost nothing from the dish in 92 plate appearances this season. He's only sporting a .230 BABIP, though, and his previous career-low (.301) and career-average (.320) suggests that his production will pick up moving forward. His hard-hit (30.6%) and soft-hit (17.7%) rates are both above his career-averages, and make a bounce-back from that low BABIP likely.

He posted some especially promising numbers against southpaws (a .340 wOBA and 40.2% fly-ball rate) last year, which points to a nice spot against Danny Duffy and the Kansas City Royals tonight.

Duffy is on pace for a career-worst SIERA in 2018, with a 4.89 mark through 11 starts. He's allowing an absurd .405 wOBA with a 5.29 xFIP on a 40.1% hard-hit rate against right-handed bats, and he offers Buxton a great opportunity to turn his production around.

As an added bonus, when Buxton does manage to get on base, his fantasy upside gets a big boost. He has stolen 5 bases this year, and swiped a career-high 29 bags in 2017.
