Sell Trevor Story

Man, Trevor Story has been hot. After a 2-for-5, 2 RBI day against the Texas Rangers on Sunday, the Colorado Rockies shortstop has 54 RBI this season. The only player in baseball with more runs batted in is J.D. Martinez (55).

On the season, Story is batting .270/.340/.530 with 15 bombs, 17 doubles and 4 triples with a wRC+ of 117 and a wOBA of .367. In short, he's been Colorado's best hitter so far this year.

Since reaching a season-low .214/.306/.437 slash line on May 6, Story has batted .317/.370/.597 over his last 35 games. In his last 13 games, he's hitting .389/.404/.704. Story has cut way down on his strikeouts, from 34.4% last year to 26.7% this season, but will it continue? After all, Story had a wRC+ of 81 last season.

There's a chance Story keeps this up the whole season, but if he's a second shortstop on your team, or you have a need elsewhere, now would be a good time to ride this trade chip for something else in case the bottom falls out.
