Like we've become accustomed to, we're seeing Joey Gallo strike out at a rate north of 35% this season. That makes him a low-floor fantasy option with plenty of potential for a goose-egg on any given night. His upside makes it well worth stomaching those zeros, though.

His 47.9% hard-hit rate is on pace to be his highest since his 123-plate appearance rookie campaign in 2015, and his 11.0% soft-hit rate is the lowest of his career (excluding 2016 when he had only 6 batted balls). Gallo's 52.1% fly-ball rate is right in line with his 51.8% career average, and he boasts a .254 isolated slugging percentage (ISO).

Just looking at his work against righties this season, Gallo's 50.0% hard-hit rate, 50.0% fly-ball rate and 8.2% soft-hit rate have translated to a .340 wOBA with a .267 ISO.

Kansas City Royals righty Ian Kennedy is giving up a 40.0% hard-hit rate and 44.9% fly-ball rate to left-handed hitters this season, leaving plenty of room for Gallo to show off his power tonight.
