Pablo Sandoval, 3B, San Francisco Giants

The super-cheap Pablo Sandoval often makes for a nice salary-saving option, and that's especially the case if you want to pay up for Madison Bumgarner, Robbie Ray, or Rick Porcello tonight. Each of those three pitchers will cost over $9,000, but rostering Sandoval still might not be a great punt option.

The switch-hitting slugger has been really good from the left side of the plate, but tonight he will be forced to flip around to the right side against Colorado Rockies' starter Kyle Freeland. That's where things start to go off the rails. Over 40 plate appearances as a righty this year, Sandoval only has a .139 batting average, .217 wOBA, and 24.1% hard-hit rate, and those numbers -- .146 average, .189 wOBA, and 22.5% hard-hit rate -- don't improve in a sample stretching back to the start of 2017 (in 103 plate appearances).

The comeback trail for Sandoval is a fun one to keep tabs on, but he's not a great target for DFS rosters tonight.
