Jason Kipnis, 2B, Cleveland Indians

Over the last two weeks, the Cleveland Indians have started to flex their offensive muscles, racking up a .340 wOBA (seventh) and .184 ISO (fifth) over that time span. In that same stretch, Jason Kipnis has been white-hot at the plate with a .435 wOBA.

Unfortunately for Kipnis, he gets the tall task of facing New York Yankees stud Luis Severino, who's obliterated lefties this season. In 2018, the right-hander has matched up with 283 opposite-handed bats, and they've walked away with only a .238 wOBA alongside a 32.0% strikeout rate and 29.8% fly-ball rate.

Kipnis and the Indians have certainly been a great play lately, but there are better options out there tonight.
