5 Daily Fantasy Baseball Value Plays for 7/13/18
Jorge Bonifacio, OF, Kansas City Royals
Price: $2,400
Chicago White Sox righty James Shields has looked terrible over the last few seasons. 2016 saw him post a career-worst 5.12 SIERA, and he didn't improve much in 2017, with a 4.94. He has split the difference this year, with a 5.02 over 20 games.
Platoon splits haven't meant much either, with a 5.08 xFIP against right-handed bats and a 5.09 against left-handers. He has also allowed a 36.5% hard-hit and 43.9% fly-ball rate to right-handed sticks.
Jorge Bonifacio has some decent numbers against righties over his first two Major League seasons (330 plate appearances), notching serviceable marks in both wOBA (.329) and ISO (.165). Those aren't huge numbers by any stretch, but they are more than enough to put him firmly in play in such a great matchup with such a low price tag.
numberFire's models project him as the day's top point-per-dollar value among hitters.
