Some of Cole Hamels' numbers have bounced back from the worrying marks he posted in 2017, but his 4.06 SIERA is still nothing to write home about, and his 43.7% hard-hit rate is on pace to be a career worst by a wide margin.

He's allowing an especially shaky 45.3% hard-hit rate, 15.4% soft-hit rate and 34.6% fly-ball rate to right-handed bats.

Oakland's Chad Pinder is on pace for a career-high .344 wOBA to go with a .201 ISO this season, and he has been particularly good against southpaws. That split includes only 105 plate appearances, but his wOBA jumps to .372 off lefties, with a .204 ISO on a ridiculous 61.9% hard-hit rate and 4.8% soft-hit rate.
