Evan Gattis is not a high-floor hitter, with a mediocre .332 wOBA and a 22.3% strikeout rate this year, but he does offer a ton of upside for a guy priced this low.

His 34.5% hard-hit rate is his best since 2014, and he pairs that with a career-high 45.6% fly-ball rate. That contact has translated to a .245 ISO, which is the second-best mark of his career.

He brings that power into a matchup with righty Mike Leake and the Seattle Mariners tonight. Leake is sporting a career-worst 4.47 SIERA over 23 starts this season, while his 36.2% hard-hit rate is a career-high and his fly-ball rate is the highest he has allowed since 2011, putting Gattis in a good spot to show off his power tonight.
