Noah Syndergaard, P, New York Mets

New York Mets right-hander Noah Syndergaard is the most expensive pitcher on tonight's slate, but given the matchup, he appears to be worth the investment.

Syndergaard comes into the game with a skill-interactive ERA (SIERA) of 3.34 that is 16th out of 106 big league starters with at least 100 innings pitched this year, and a strikeout percentage of 24.5% that ranks 31st. He'll be going up against a San Francisco Giants team that is without their best player, Buster Posey, who is likely to miss the rest of the season with hip surgery.

Only five teams are scoring less than the Giants' 3.96 runs per game, with a .299 wOBA that ranks 26th out of 30 big league ball clubs, and a .135 isolated power (ISO) that is the 3rd-worst.

Syndergaard is projected to put up more FanDuel points than any other starter tonight (42.8), and has one of the lowest implied totals on the slate (3.36), making him well worth his rather high price tag.
