It's easy to get too caught up in platoon advantages, but with the Boston Red Sox starting Brian Johnson, Brandon Guyer and his site-minimum pricing definitely deserve a long look.

Guyer may not stick out to most folks, as he owns a mere six home runs this season, but five of them have come against lefties. On the year, spanning 98 plate appearances against southpaws, Guyer has recorded a healthy .253 ISO and 48.5% fly-ball rate.

While the sample size is small, this is no one-year wonder. Since the start of the 2015 season, Guyer has tattooed lefties for a .374 wOBA, 37.6% fly-ball rate, and 20 of his 25 home runs have come in this split. Rostering Guyer is almost a no-brainer at this price point.
