Bryce Harper, OF, Philadelphia Phillies

FanDuel Price: $4,600

At first glance, Bryce Harper's early-season numbers against lefties are pretty legit; he has posted an 1.157 OPS and a 199 wRC+.

That's exactly why small sample sizes can be a bit scary. For his career, Harper has been far better with the platoon advantage, namely stronger marks in OPS (.941 versus .805) and wOBA (.396 versus .348), and with a lower strikeout rate (20.1% versus 24.3%).

Miami Marlins lefty Caleb Smith has also been a beast to start 2019. He has recorded a 33.3% strikeout rate on the year (second-best on the main slate), and against lefties a year ago, he fired his way to a 3.38 xFIP, 27.2% strikeout rate, and 0.86 home runs per nine innings pitched (HR/9).

Harper's been solid as a member of the Phillies, but pivoting to other outfielders would be wise.
