If you’re still concerned about Paul Goldschmidt’s slow start, you can relax now.

Not only is he having a much better season than his .282 batting average would have you believe, but he’s been on fire of late. Goldschmidt’s .396 wOBA is outstanding -- even if it is his lowest clip since 2012 -- and his 19.2% walk rate is a career-high mark. While his 38.4% hard-hit rate is a little disappointing, he owns a monstrous 50.0% hard-hit rate in June. Goldschmidt kept his recent surge going with a solo jack on Monday, and he has a .420 wOBA this month.

Goldschmidt will tango with Los Angeles Dodgers righty Kenta Maeda tonight in the desert. The Diamondbacks’ slugger has posted a silly 46.7% hard-hit rate at home against right-handed pitching this season. In 155 plate appearances this year at Chase Field, which ranks fifth in park factor, Goldschmidt has put up a .454 wOBA.
