Brandon Moss, 1B, St. Louis Cardinals

FanDuel Price: $3,700

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

It seems hard to imagine that Brandon Moss will continue to be underowned with the way he has been knocking the cover off of the ball, but that appears to be the case again tonight. Edwin Encarnacion and David Ortiz are both in awesome spots, as is Jose Abreu. At the end of the day, Moss will have his ownership held in check by the other first basemen.

Why You Should Use Him:

Moss continued to swing a hot bat in last night's game, launching his 15th home run of the season. Since June 1st, he has a .638 wOBA, .656 isolated slugging, and 1.094 slugging percentage. During those nine games, Moss has crushed six home runs, which is legitimized by his 40.7 percent hard-hit rate and 57.7 percent fly-ball rate during that time.

Similar to Diaz, Moss is in an advantageous matchup against McHugh. Unlike Diaz, Moss will benefit from a lefty-righty matchup. McHugh has pitched worse against lefties in his career, while Moss has absolutely demolished right-handed pitching.

Moss is one of the best on-paper plays of the day today with the way he has been hitting recently, and you can likely get him at moderate ownership.
