4 Daily Fantasy Baseball Stacks for 8/11/16

Stacking can be a controversial topic in many daily fantasy sports, but you can count baseball as a glaring exception. Here, it's universal.

Using multiple players on the same team on a given day presents you with the opportunity to double dip. If one of your players hits an RBI double, there's a good chance he drove in another one of your guys. When you get the points for both the run and the RBI, you'll be climbing the leaderboards fast.

Each day here on numberFire, we'll go through four offenses ripe for the stacking. They could have a great matchup, be in a great park, or just have a lot of quality sticks in the lineup, but these are the offenses primed for big days that you may want a piece of.

Now, let's get to the stacks. With the split slates, we'll also be breaking the stacks in two. The first two teams are from the early slate, and the final two are from the main slate beginning at 7 PM EST (and excluding the second half of the double header between the Minnesota Twins and Houston Astros). Here are the teams you should be targeting in daily fantasy baseball today.

Colorado Rockies

This will be Lucas Harrell's third start since joining the Texas Rangers via trade from the Atlanta Braves. The first two have been just dandy.

All in all, he has walked 8 batters compared to 7 strikeouts, pushing his SIERA this year up to 5.25. Even with the Colorado Rockies not playing at Coors Field, they can probably hop all over that.

Between all levels at which he has pitched this season, Harrell's strikeout rate against right-handed batters is just 12.6%, jumping to 21.2% against their left-handed counterparts. That may have tough ramifications against a team like the Rockies'.

Not shockingly, that Nolan Arenado guy is pretty good against righties. But so is DJ LeMahieu, who will come at a much lower price. LeMahieu has pushed his hard-hit rate versus same-handed pitchers up to 35.9% with a 12.4% soft-hit rate, and that's while striking out just 13.1% of the time. LeMahieu's much better than he has been in the past, and he's a pivotal part of any Rockies stack today.
