FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Helper: Monday 6/11/18
Eight games encompass Monday's slate, and while there's no clear-cut favorite arm, we have a solid group to entrust the services of. The Cleveland Indians sticks out as tonight's top offense, with the St. Louis Cardinals coming in as the runner-up. The San Francisco Giants could also provide some nice value bats as well.
Our daily helper is available every day to analyze FanDuel's main slate and help give you a starting point when you're building lineups. Be sure to also incorporate our great tools into your research process. Whether you're looking for daily projections, the latest starting lineups and weather, or batting and pitching heat maps to find the best matchups -- we've got you covered! And don't forget to take a listen to The Solo Shot podcast with Jim Sannes, who breaks down the MLB daily fantasy slate each day.
On that note, let's highlight some of the top options for today's FanDuel main slate.
Pitchers to Target
Patrick Corbin ($9,300 on FanDuel): Patrick Corbin's velocity is still lagging from where it was to begin the season, so he hasn't been quite as dominant lately, but it's hard to complain about the results. Since the beginning of May, when Corbin's velocity first dropped, he's sporting an excellent 29.2% strikeout rate over seven starts, which still comes in higher than any of the other hurlers on the board. Over that span, the walks have also gone up to an 8.8% clip, and the 46.7% hard-hit rate he's allowed is a bit concerning, but a 3.42 FIP should ease our minds. The Pittsburgh Pirates strike out only 19.6% of the time against southpaws, which won't help out Corbin's upside, but we have to like the looks of a 3.43 implied team total. In all, given the options tonight, Corbin is one of the better hurlers on the board.
