FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Helper: Wednesday 6/20/18
Coors Field once again rules the main slate, but the Rockies and Mets are hardly alone atop the hitting ranks, with the Nationals and Yankees nipping at their heels. On the other hand, pitching is far weaker than we've seen the past two nights, giving Charlie Morton top honors by a sizable margin.
Our daily helper is available every day to analyze FanDuel's main slate and help give you a starting point when you're building lineups. Be sure to also incorporate our great tools into your research process. Whether you're looking for daily projections, the latest starting lineups and weather, or batting and pitching heat maps to find the best matchups -- we've got you covered! And don't forget to take a listen to The Solo Shot podcast with Jim Sannes, who breaks down the MLB daily fantasy slate each day.
On that note, let's highlight some of the top options for today's FanDuel main slate.
Pitchers to Target
High-Priced Pitcher
Charlie Morton ($10,000 on FanDuel): Charlie Morton steps up to the table with the best 2018 resume on the board, carrying a shiny 3.27 SIERA, 30.6% strikeout rate, and 51.3% ground-ball rate to show for his efforts. However, a 9.6% walk rate highlights Morton's one major blemish, and he's issued a concerning 10 free passes over his last 2 starts (9 2/3 innings). Still, no one can match his punchout upside, and a home date against a beatable Tampa Bay Rays squad should go in his favor (3.00 implied team total). Morton probably isn't the safest top-level pitcher, but he's in a tier of his own tonight.
