FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Helper: Wednesday 4/3/19
Only five games encompass tonight's main slate, and as has been the theme this week, it's a bit short on the offensive side. The Astros once again checks in with the highest implied total on the board (5.13), followed by the scuffling Red Sox (4.58).
Our daily helper is available every day to analyze FanDuel's main slate and help give you a starting point when you're building lineups. Be sure to also incorporate our great tools into your research process. Whether you're looking for daily projections, the latest starting lineups and weather, or batting and pitching heat maps to find the best matchups -- we've got you covered! And don't forget to take a listen to The Solo Shot podcast with Jim Sannes, who breaks down the MLB daily fantasy slate each day.
On that note, let's highlight some of the top options for today's FanDuel main slate.
Pitchers to Target
Gerrit Cole ($11,200 on FanDuel): Only one pitcher is priced above $10,000 -- let alone $11,000 -- but he's well worth paying up for. Gerrit Cole picked up right where he left off in his 2019 debut versus the Rays, fanning 10 batters and allowing just one run over six innings (49 FanDuel points). As you might expect on a small slate, his 2018 credentials easily best everyone else on the board after posting a 2.91 SIERA and 34.5% strikeout rate in last year's breakout campaign. Justin Verlander struggled against the Rangers on Tuesday, but their active roster posted a below average 95 wRC+ and 23.6% strikeout rate versus righties last season. Cole is the clear-cut top option on Wednesday night.
