FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Helper: Tuesday 4/30/19
Following a Monday slate that was somewhat lacking in truly strong matchups, tonight's 15-gamer is an entirely different story, with a combination of high-end aces in favorable situations and exploitable hitting spots for our bats. Among those teams showing high implied totals, a warm and humid night in Texas could mean good things for Rangers and Pirates bats (though there's a chance of thunderstorms), while the Red Sox draw a favorable matchup at Fenway. We also have potential rain in the forecast for games in Minnesota, Chicago, and Kansas City.
Our daily helper is available every day to analyze FanDuel's main slate and help give you a starting point when you're building lineups. Be sure to also incorporate our great tools into your research process. Whether you're looking for daily projections, the latest starting lineups and weather, or batting and pitching heat maps to find the best matchups -- we've got you covered! And don't forget to take a listen to The Solo Shot podcast with Jim Sannes, who breaks down the MLB daily fantasy slate each day.
On that note, let's highlight some of the top options for today's FanDuel main slate.
Pitchers to Target
High-Priced Pitchers
Trevor Bauer ($11,400 on FanDuel): Trevor Bauer gets one of our favorite matchups for pitchers, taking on the lowly Marlins in pitcher-friendly Marlins Park, so while he's the priciest hurler, he should be worth every penny tonight. Although Bauer has been a little shaky at times with a 4.20 SIERA and 12.0% walk rate, he's still getting punchouts at a high clip (28.3%) and should be able to cash in on a Marlins squad that fans at the league's highest rate against righties (27.5%) while rarely walking (7.1%). Miami carries a middling 2.99 implied total on the night.
