Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Adds: Week 8

There's only four weeks left in traditional rotisserie fantasy baseball leagues -- can you believe it? It feels like it just started, and we are 60% complete. Wow.

Each week we will take a look at players who are rostered in fewer than 50% of Yahoo leagues and can help out your season-long squads. Remember, if you aren’t scouring the waiver wire, you are falling behind your league-mates.

Alex Dickerson - San Francisco Giants (OF)

Roster percentage: 30%

Who knew that the San Francisco Giants were going to be an offensive juggernaut? Welcome to 2020, y'all.

Interestingly, Oracle Park, the artist formerly known as Pac Bell Park, has turned into a hitter-friendly environment. According to ESPN's park factors, it sits in the top 12 stadiums for both park factor and home run factor. That's a major change from past seasons.

And the lefty-slugging Alex Dickerson has been taking advantage. He's ripped five long balls in the last 14 days, driving in 18 runs in that time. If you need some pop, consider Dickerson.

Victor Reyes - Detroit Tigers (OF)

Roster percentage: 23%

Could these Detroit Tigers really make the playoffs? It could happen, especially if Victor Reyes keeps smashing out of the leadoff spot.

He popped a long ball yesterday against Kenta Maeda, and that comes on the heels of ripping off a five-RBI day earlier in the week in a blowout win over the Milwaukee Brewers.

If you're unfamiliar with the rookie, in 125 at-bats, he's posted a very nice four-homer, five-steal combo. That certainly will play.

If you are looking for speed -- and we all are -- peep Reyes.

Brad Miller - St. Louis Cardinals (2B/3B/OF)

Roster percentage: 46%

Brad Miller is coming off a giant week. Over the last seven days, Miller has gone 7 for 18 with three homers and nine RBI. Wowza.

And volume is something we all must consider. Miller gets nine games this week as the St. Louis Cardinals try to get the rest of their regular season schedule in.

Miller is also eligible at multiple positions, so think about adding him for the stretch run.

Michael Pineda - Minnesota Twins (SP)

Roster percentage: 23%

If you've forgotten about Michael Pineda and his return to the Minnesota Twins' rotation due to his 60-game suspension, now is the time to get your bids out.

Pineda returned and looked solid on Tuesday. He went six innings against the juggernaut Chicago White Sox offense, logging four strikeouts and allowing only two earned runs.

Factor in that he gets two starts this week, and Pineda becomes a great add.

Other Two-Start Pitchers to Consider This Week:

Brad Keller (KC) -- at CLE, vs PIT

Chris Bassitt (OAK) -- vs HOU, at TEX

Vincent Velasquez (PHI) -- vs BOS, at MIA

Trevor Richards (TB) -- at WAS, vs BOS

Games in Coors Field This Week:
Los Angeles Angels (3)

If you are looking ahead a week (highly recommend doing so), the Oakland Athletics and Los Angeles Dodgers will be in Denver for a six-game stand that starts on September 15.
