4 Daily Fantasy Baseball Stacks for 4/26/16

Stacking can be a controversial topic in many daily fantasy sports, but you can count baseball as a glaring exception. Here, it's universal.

Using multiple players on the same team on a given day presents you with the opportunity to double dip. If one of your players hits an RBI double, there's a good chance he drove in another one of your guys. When you get the points for both the run and the RBI, you'll be climbing the leaderboards fast.

Each day here on numberFire, we'll go through four offenses ripe for the stacking. They could have a great matchup, be in a great park, or just have a lot of quality sticks in the lineup, but these are the offenses primed for big days that you may want a piece of.

Now, let's get to the stacks. As always, we will not be using today's game at Coors Field here. People generally know to get exposure to Coors Field, though that may be less so today with Gerrit Cole and Jorge De La Rosa starting. Still, you don't need me to tell you about Coors Field's superiority. Here are the other teams you should be targeting in daily fantasy baseball today.

Oakland Athletics

There is no team more fun to stack due to their perpetually low pricing than the Oakland Athletics. Their home park combined with their recent-year offensive struggles keeps these guys discounted, and when they're facing off with a guy like Detroit Tigers starter Mike Pelfrey, they're hard to pass up.

The Tigers gave Pelfrey a two-year, $8 million deal prior to the season -- a price you'd likely only pay a starter -- but he may not be long for the rotation. His first three starts this year have resulted in a 6.22 SIERA with an 11.3% strikeout rate and a 16.9% walk rate. If he struggles again today, the Tigers are going to have to reevaluate some things real quick. But until then, we could be seeing a little bit of this.

There's no shortage of options in pursuit of a hitter with quality batted-ball stats on the Athletics. If they keep the batting order the same as it has been recently, it'll be hard to pass on Jed Lowrie. Lowrie has started the year with a 36.4% hard-hit rate and 11.4% soft-hit rate against righties, and that comes a year after he had marks of 37.0% and 12.3% respectively. The dude strikes the ball well, he's batting clean up, and he's only $2,300 on FanDuel and $3,200 on DraftKings. Welcome his Gucciness into your life, and then proceed to fill out the rest of your lineup.
