4 Daily Fantasy Baseball Stacks for 6/24/16

Stacking can be a controversial topic in many daily fantasy sports, but you can count baseball as a glaring exception. Here, it's universal.

Using multiple players on the same team on a given day presents you with the opportunity to double dip. If one of your players hits an RBI double, there's a good chance he drove in another one of your guys. When you get the points for both the run and the RBI, you'll be climbing the leaderboards fast.

Each day here on numberFire, we'll go through four offenses ripe for the stacking. They could have a great matchup, be in a great park, or just have a lot of quality sticks in the lineup, but these are the offenses primed for big days that you may want a piece of.

Now, let's get to the stacks. As always, we will not be including today's game at Coors Field here. Coors is great for DFS, but you likely don't need me to tell you that. Here are the other teams you should be targeting in daily fantasy baseball today.

Tampa Bay Rays

Sure, their roster is depleted right now. And sure, there are some weather concerns. But with the park-factor boost the Tampa Bay Rays receive and a matchup against Yovani Gallardo, this has the potential to be really fun.

This will be Gallardo's second start since returning from the disabled list, and he'll try to duplicate the relative success he had against the Toronto Blue Jays. He held their big boppers to two runs on five hits over five innings en route to picking up the win. At the same time, though, he walked four compared to five strikeouts, and his swinging-strike rate was just 7.1%. This gives us faith in his season-long 5.60 SIERA, allowing our excitement about the Rays to build.

Logan Forsythe has a reputation for being a lefty-basher only. That could not be further from the truth this year. His strikeouts go up, but he has a 38.6% hard-hit rate and 5.7% soft-hit rate in 138 plate appearances against pitchers of the same handedness, allowing him to plunk a few of these.

If he can take a former Cy Young Award winner deep, he can do the same to Gallardo, even when he doesn't hold the platoon advantage.
