Tomas Nido taking seat for Mets on Tuesday
New York Mets catcher Tomas Nido is not in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against right-hander Jose Urquidy and the Houston Astros.
The Mets appear to be giving Nido a routine breather after he started the past five games and 10 of the last 11. Patrick Mazeika is starting at catcher and hitting ninth.
Mazeika has a $2,000 salary and he is numberFire’s lowest-projected hitter (4.3 FanDuel points) on Tuesday's Main slate. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Mets’ implied total (3.96) is tied for 21st out of the 26 teams available on the Main slate.
