Elier Hernandez heading to Rangers' bench Monday
Texas Rangers outfielder Elier Hernandez is not in the starting lineup for Monday's series opener against right-hander Spenser Watkins and the Baltimore Orioles.
Hernandez started the last three games while Corey Seager dealt with a leg issue, but he's heading to the bench with Seager returning to the lineup as the Rangers' designated hitter. Kole Calhoun will move to left field while Adolis Garcia shifts to the other outfield corner. Seager will bat second and Garcia will bat fifth while Leody Taveras works out of the six-hole.
Calhoun has a $2,300 salary on Monday and numberFire’s models project him for 9.4 FanDuel points. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Rangers’ implied total (4.10) is tied for No. 9 out of 20 active teams Monday.
