Chicago Cubs starting pitcher Jameson Taillon (left groin strain) will be placed on the 10-day injured list.
What It Means:
Taillon was scheduled to start in Thursday's series opener against the Los Angeles Dodgers, but Javier Assad will now be called up to fill in. Taillon is reportedly dealing with a “mild to moderate” left groin strain.
