What It Means:

Mullins injured his groin in Monday's series opener against the Cleveland Guardians. It remains to be seen how long Mullins will be out, but the Orioles added Aaron Hicks to the active roster in the meantime. Jorge Mateo could also see some work in center field while Mullins is missing from action. Austin Hays will cover the middle of the outfield on Tuesday and hit cleanup versus Cleveland righty Cal Quantrill. Adam Frazier will move into the leadoff spot while Terrin Vavra will enter the lineup to play left field and hit eighth.
