Marlins place Jazz Chisholm Jr. (oblique) on shelf
The Miami Marlins placed outfielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. on the 10-day injured list Monday with a left oblique strain.
Chisholm suffered the injury during Sunday's series finale against the Atlanta Braves. He will be eligible to return after the All-Star break. The Marlins called up outfielder Dane Myers from Triple-A Jacksonville on Monday in a corresponding roster move. Bryan De La Cruz, Jonathan Davis, and Jesus Sanchez will start across the outfield on Monday against right-hander Miles Mikolas and the St. Louis Cardinals. De La Cruz will hit third and Sanchez will be the cleanup batter.
numberFire’s models project Sanchez ($2,800) for 11.5 FanDuel points on Monday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Marlins' implied total is 4.17 and the game total is 8.0. Mikolas has a 4.44 ERA and 5.25 xERA this season, with a 40.9% hard-hit rate, 16.1% strikeout rate, and 5.1% walk rate (92nd percentile in the majors).
