Astros' Yordan Alvarez (oblique) set to begin rehab assignment on Friday
Houston Astros outfielder Yordan Alvarez (oblique) is expected to start a rehab assignment on Friday.
What It Means:
Alvarez has been sidelined since early June with an oblique injury and is nearing a return. José Urquidy, who is also beginning a rehab assignment, will join him on Triple-A Sugar Land.
Alvarez is batting 0.281 this season with 17 homers and 55 RBI in 238 plate appearances.
