Miles Mikolas set to take mound Tuesday for Cardinals
St. Louis Cardinals right-handed pitcher Miles Mikolas is in line to start on Tuesday against the Minnesota Twins.
Mikolas is appealing a five-game suspension he received on Friday, but a decision isn't expected to be made before Tuesday's contest, so the veteran righty should be good to go. It would usually be Jack Flaherty's turn in the rotation, but the Cardinals are considering trading him at Tuesday's deadline, so they don't want to have him prepare for a start that might not happen.
numberFire's models project Mikolas ($7,400) for 23.1 FanDuel points on Tuesday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Twins' implied total is 4.33 and the game total is 8.5. Mikolas has a 4.38 ERA and 4.96 xERA this season, with a 39.9% hard-hit rate, 15.9% strikeout rate, and 4.6% walk rate.
