Korey Lee making White Sox debut Thursday
Chicago White Sox catcher Korey Lee is in the lineup for Thursday's series opener against left-hander Ken Waldichuk and the Oakland Athletics.
The White Sox called Lee up from Triple-A Charlotte on Thursday for the first time since they acquired him from the Houston Astros. He will catch for Jesse Scholtens and hit ninth in his White Sox debut on Thursday. Carlos Perez was optioned down to Charlotte in a corresponding roster move.
Lee slashed .278/.325/.386 with 5 home runs, 36 RBI, 39 runs scored, and 13 stolen bases over 357 plate appearances at the Triple-A level in 2023.
