White Sox send Carlos Perez to Triple-A Charlotte
The Chicago White Sox optioned catcher Carlos Perez to Triple-A Charlotte on Thursday.
Perez started and hit a double in Wednesday's series finale against the Seattle Mariners, but he is heading to the minors a day later. The White Sox called up fellow backstop Korey Lee from Charlotte in a corresponding roster move.
Perez went 7-for-29 (.241) with 3 doubles, 2 RBI, and 3 runs scored in 18 games across separate stints for the White Sox this season.
