Blue Jays' Davis Schneider batting second Tuesday
Toronto Blue Jays rookie infielder Davis Schneider is starting on second base and batting second on Tuesday against left-hander MacKenzie Gore and the Washington Nationals.
Schneider is moving up two spots in the order after he went 1-for-3 with an RBI in Monday's series opener. The 24-year-old has a sizzling .425 batting average and 1.396 OPS through his first 48 plate appearances in the majors. Danny Jansen is taking over as Toronto's cleanup hitter on Tuesday.
numberFire’s models project Schneider ($2,800) for 12.9 FanDuel points and he's our second-best point-per-dollar value among batters on Tuesday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Blue Jays' implied total is 4.55 and the game total is 8.0. Gore has a strong 26.8% strikeout rate this season, but that comes with an elevated 44.3% hard-hit rate and 9.8% walk rate.
