Cincinnati Reds infielder Noelvi Marte (nose) is not in the lineup for Tuesday's series opener against left-hander Joey Wentz and the Detroit Tigers.

Marte is absent for a second straight game due to a broken nose. Nick Senzel is starting on third base and batting second Tuesday while Spencer Steer shifts to right field in place of Will Benson and hits third. The left-handed hitting Benson is being held out of the lineup against a lefty pitcher.
