Cardinals place Nolan Gorman (hamstring) on IL
The St. Louis Cardinals placed infielder Nolan Gorman on the 10-day injured list Wednesday with a hamstring strain.
Gorman suffered the injury during Tuesday's game against the Baltimore Orioles. The Cardinals called up infielder Juniel Querecuto from Triple-A Memphis in a corresponding roster move. Richie Palacios will replace Gorman on second base and bat fifth in Wednesday's series finale against Orioles right-hander Kyle Gibson.
numberFire’s models project Palacios ($2,800) for 8.3 FanDuel points on Wednesday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Cardinals' implied total is 4.22 and the game total is 9.5. Gibson owns a middling 4.38 SIERA on the season and his ERA is sitting at 6.10 over his last 59 innings pitched.
