Cardinals' Paul Goldschmidt sitting for season finale Sunday
The St. Louis Cardinals will not have Paul Goldschmidt in their lineup for Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Reds.
Goldschmidt will take the final game of the year off while the Cardinals get Irving Lopez a start at second base and have the rookie hit eighth.
Goldschmidt has had yet another outstanding season, batting .268 with a .810 OPS over 687 plate appearances. He added 25 homers, 89 runs, 80 RBI, and 11 stolen bases to his career totals this season.
