Rangers' Corey Seager (groin) trending toward playing Opening Day
Texas Rangers infielder Corey Seager (groin) is trending toward being ready for Opening Day, per manager Bruce Bochy.
Bochy said he's more optimistic about Seager’s availability for Opening Day versus the Chicago Cubs. The veteran shortstop underwent sports hernia surgery in January.
numberFire's models project Seager to record a .293 batting average and .896 OPS this season, with 32 homers, 91 RBI, and 88 runs scored across 616 plate appearances.
