Kerry Carpenter sitting versus lefty Monday for Tigers
The Detroit Tigers will not have Kerry Carpenter in their lineup for Monday's game against the New York Mets.
Carpenter will take a seat against left-hander Sean Manaea, allowing Riley Greene to play right field and Jake Rogers to play designated hitter. Carson Kelly will join the lineup at catcher and hit ninth.
Carpenter hit his first home run of the season in yesterday's game against the White Sox and will look to match last year's total of 20.
