Cubs' Seiya Suzuki (oblique) going to 10-day IL
The Chicago Cubs will place outfielder Seiya Suzuki (oblique) on the 10-day injured list ahead of Monday night's game against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
What It Means:
Suzuki was one of the hottest hitters in baseball in the opening weeks of the season and has been a major contributor in the Cubs' sixth-ranked 5.6 runs per game. With any luck, he'll return after his minimum-length stay on the IL.
Suzuki leads the Cubs in RBI with 13 so far this year. He's up to 3 home runs with 11 runs scores across 68 plate appearances and is managing a strong .893 OPS so far.
